Police arrested a 43-year-old man at a hotel in La Massana on Wednesday night on suspicion of offences against physical integrity, public authority and honour.

According to the police, the incident began after the hotel reception reported a man who had allegedly arrived highly agitated and under the influence of alcohol.

The man allegedly caused a disturbance by hitting doors and walls while his partner was in the room with their minor daughters.

Minor Allegedly Intervened to Defend Her Mother

The woman reportedly tried to calm him down to prevent the children from waking up, but the situation allegedly escalated into a heated argument.

During the incident, the man allegedly grabbed his partner by the hair. One of the minor daughters reportedly intervened in an attempt to separate them and, according to police, was allegedly pushed by the man.

When officers arrived at the hotel, the man allegedly refused to identify himself and reportedly adopted an aggressive and insulting attitude towards the police.

Officers Had to Restrain Him After a Struggle

After he allegedly refused to cooperate and resisted the officers, they had to restrain him following a struggle, as he reportedly made it difficult for them to secure him.

The man was subsequently arrested and will face judicial proceedings over the alleged offences against physical integrity, public authority and honour.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the courts will determine any potential criminal responsibility arising from the incident.
