Borja Thyssen has taken advantage of the summer to disconnect in Mallorca with his wife, Blanca Cuesta, while remaining involved in a legal dispute with an Andorran bank. 

The couple has temporarily left their usual routine in Madrid to enjoy several days of sailing, swimming in the Mediterranean and walking through the streets of Palma.

The getaway comes at a particularly delicate time for the Thyssen family. Tita Cervera, Borja’s mother, has recently suffered a serious health setback after being urgently admitted to the Teknon Clinic in Barcelona with severe pneumonia.

After being discharged from hospital, the baroness continued her recovery at her Más Mañanas residence in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, away from the spotlight and accompanied by her daughters, Carmen and Sabrina.

Tita Cervera moves to Andorra during her recovery

In recent weeks, Carmen Cervera has moved to Andorra with her daughters, where she has established her tax residence. The baroness is continuing to focus on her recovery while also working on her memoirs, a project that is reportedly linked to a future documentary about her life.

The move to Andorra once again places the Principality at the centre of the Thyssen family’s affairs, particularly because of the legal dispute involving Borja and an Andorran banking institution.

MoraBanc demands nearly €5 million from Borja Thyssen

While enjoying his holiday in Mallorca, Borja Thyssen remains involved in legal proceedings brought by MoraBanc, which is seeking nearly €5 million relating to a loan.

According to information published last week by La Veu Lliure, the court has reportedly decided to continue with the proceedings after efforts to locate Borja Thyssen or secure his appearance had been unsuccessful.

Borja’s representatives, however, deny that he was uncontactable. Sources close to the businessman say that he was never missing and that it was not impossible to contact him, challenging the account surrounding the attempts to locate him.

The same sources also claim that Tita Cervera had been aware of her son’s banking problems for more than a year.

Holidays in Mallorca despite the legal dispute

For the time being, the banking dispute does not appear to have prevented Borja Thyssen and Blanca Cuesta from enjoying their holiday. The couple has been seen in Mallorca in a relaxed atmosphere, sailing, swimming in the sea and walking around Palma.

The scenes contrast with the legal situation facing Borja and the delicate family circumstances following Tita Cervera’s recent health problems.

While the baroness remains linked to Andorra during her recovery and works on her memoirs, her son continues to face legal proceedings that could have significant financial consequences.
